1. Program Description

By opting into the RootAPI SMS Alerts program, you agree to receive text messages from RootAPI to the mobile phone number you provided. Messages are sent for the following use cases:

• OTP / Verification Codes: One-time passwords for account login and verification
• Account Notifications: Alerts about account activity, security events, and API key usage
• Service Updates: Platform maintenance notices, feature announcements, and outage alerts
• Billing Alerts: Invoice notifications, payment confirmations, and low balance warnings
• Customer Support: Responses to support requests you have initiated

2. Consent

Your enrollment in the RootAPI SMS Alerts program is voluntary. By checking the SMS consent checkbox during registration (which is not pre-checked), you expressly consent to receive SMS messages from RootAPI. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary. You may receive multiple messages per day during active account use, particularly for OTP codes and account notifications. You will not receive unsolicited marketing messages without separate explicit consent.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier for applicable charges. RootAPI is not responsible for charges from your mobile carrier.

5. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of the RootAPI SMS Alerts program at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any text message from RootAPI
• Emailing contact@rootapi.io with your opt-out request
• Updating your notification preferences in your account dashboard

After replying STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message confirming your opt-out. No further SMS messages will be sent. Note that opting out of SMS may affect your ability to receive OTP codes needed for account access.

7. Supported Carriers

RootAPI SMS messages are supported on most major US mobile carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carrier availability may vary. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy

Your phone number and message history are governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your phone number to third-party marketers. Your number is transmitted through our carrier partners only as necessary to deliver messages.

9. Terms of Service

Use of the RootAPI SMS Alerts program is also subject to our Terms and Conditions.

10. Changes to SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via SMS or email with reasonable notice. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
